Hello fellow PCA Club members and welcome to the first of several 2012 Tours being planned for your driving pleasure and all around enjoyment. The first Tour will take us north to Hershey, PA for the "Porsche-Only Swap Meet" sponsored by the Central Pennsylvania Region - Porsche Club of America. This is the largest single-marque gathering to sell and exchange anything and everything Porsche. Whether you need a window switch for that 964 of yours or want to buy a 928S, you'll most likely find it here. As many as 650 vendors and 1,000 Porsches will gather again for this annual event. In fact, I purchased my 1986, 944 Turbo here in 2002!

Just before we crossover the PA line, we will meet for breakfast at a favorite restaurant in Shrewsbury, PA at 7:00am. The restaurant is a quick jump off I-83 at Exit 36 in MD then over to York Road and a little north to the "New Freedom Restaurant & Coffee Shop". As a group, we will leave around 7:45am and return to I-83 (Note: Detailed driving directions to the Coffee Shop, the Swap Meet their breakfast menu and a copy of the breakfast menu will be provided to all who register). So don't forget to register no later than April 15th at tour@pcachs.org. Admission to the "Meet" is free, but dedicated Porsche parking for 1,000 cars is $10 / car.

If you would like to read more about this event, please click on the following URL: http://cpa-pca.org/swap/index.html where our friends at CPA-PCA describe in detail what awaits you at the "Meet". This is a cash only event, so bring your bucks, comfortable walking shoes (hiking boots recommended), and be sure to know what to expect for weather, as it's a rain or shine event. Lastly, for those who have lots of space in their Cayenne, it's not uncommon for folks to bring their kid's (or neighbor's) little red wagon to tote their many purchases!
