New Region Logo!
As you know, the region is 45 and like everyone else, we have our mid-life crises too. This one involves the region’s logo. The board and membership have several initiatives that are looking to include the region’s logo: name badges, Autocross T-shirts, and many of the usual places. However, the region’s identity has been a little bit lost, and we want to revive it.
The first step in this process will be to have a comment period for the proposed changes. A select group of volunteers will then sift through the mountain of feed-back that will be received and formulate an option or two based on the concise of opinions expressed. Finally, the options, including the current official logo, will be offered up to a vote by the region membership. When the concept is selected, the idea will be refined by a professional to create the different forms and sizes needed for different applications (color/B&W/etc).
Select Proposed Logos for Comment
Our current official logo is pictured to the right. The logos below include several suggested ideas and a select few logos from other PCA regions. Please share your thoughts on which direction you would like to see the logo go. The objective is not to pick one of the logos below, but to share likes or dislikes of the overall form, theme, and specific content that you think should or should not be a part of the logo. For example, “I think it should include a Porsche car, a map of MD, the bay bridge, the year the region was chartered, the Porsche colors, the PCA colors, etc.” Understand that the final logo cannot infringe on PCNA or Porsche AG copyrights. But, don’t hesitate to share what crest, script or silhouette ideas you think you’d like to see. We can be creative in how we create the logo.
