Balloon Tour

On Saturday May 7, as part of the Preakness celebration, 30 members traveled to the Inner Harbor looking for some hot air balloons. The plan was to meet and park at Harborview, where John Cochran kindly arranged parking and a photo opportunity. The balloons were scheduled to be at the Inner Harbor at 5 p.m. for a possible launch, but they were not to be seen, possibly due to dark skies and gusty winds. The group had dinner at the Rusty Scupper, which was fabulous as always. As we were finishing dinner, the United Van Lines and Target balloons could be seen in the distance doing a glow when the burners fired to fill the balloons. By the time we could walk over to watch, they had been put away for the day. Still, a fine time was had by all well get em next year.
