Chesapeake Region kicked off its official season of activities welcoming our new members. All new members, current region officers, and club members met on the Harbor View Pier in the famous Baltimore Inner Harbor. As you can see, despite the overcast and rainy conditions, over 45 cars turned out for the festivities.

New club members got treated to refreshments, a short presentation of club activities by each club officer and a car show with Porsche of Hunt Valley providing a 997 and new Boxster S. Several prizes were handed out for the best new car in each class. With all these cars parked n the pier, not one was lost in the water! However, some small wood chocks were noted behind a few tires! John Cochran, membership chair for the region, arranged this great day and sent personal invitations to each newly registered member! New members brought some of Porsche’s latest technology, classic 911s, a 1957 356, and a Cayenne also showed up! Parade co-chairs were present to brief everyone on the upcoming festivities in Hershey. As the festivities ended, the sky could not hold back any longer and drenched the exit. All the new members left looking forward to the many club activities that are scheduled though out the coming year.
