President's Message

Hello again fellow Porschefilles,

This is going to be the hardest message that I hope to ever write. As you already know by now, we recently lost one of our regions brightest stars. I'm referring of course to Lynn Eckels. Lynn was not only an outstanding member of PCA she was also a very good friend to Kim and I as well as many other members of our region. I’m sure all of you join with me and my family in wishing Scott, and all of Lynn’s family, our deepest condolences.

In an effort to do our part in helping others afflicted with the same disease that took our friend Lynn, it has been decided to donate all of the proceeds from the charity laps at this years Zone 2 DE at VIR to “The Susan Cohan Kasdas Colan Cancer Foundation In Memory of PCA Member Lynn Eckels”. I hope any of you that plan on attending the DE will do your part to help this worthy cause. In addition the Chesapeake Board has decided to create a new award that will be given out at the regions annual “After Holidays Party”. The new award will be called “The Lynn Eckels Enthusiast of the Year” in memory of all the hard work and dedication that Lynn had to our club. A trophy will be awarded to the person that best exemplifies what it truly means to be a PCA member as Lynn always did. Again, I hope you will all join me in trying to carry on the wonderful legacy that Lynn leaves behind. She will truly be missed.
