President's Message

As I write this month's article, we've already passed the midway point of August.  It's hard for me to believe that Fall is just around the corner.  The summer is passing quickly, but it has been a good one for club events.  We've had a Tech Session, three Autocrosses, and our Monthly Socials have gathered us around the table for good food and conversation.   Next weekend is the annual Crab Feast.  If you didn't get the chance to join us, I hope you will next year.

Today, Steve Kinsley and I enjoyed a picture perfect Sunday morning driving around Anne Arundel County planning the rally route for Chesapeake Challenge 39.  This year's Challenge, on Saturday, September 27th,  is a new one-day format that I'm sure will be a crowd-pleaser.  The day will start with a Concours and Car Show at Downs park in Pasadena.  Afterwards, the Gimmick Rally will take us through the county's twisties to the newest Porsche dealership in Maryland - Johnson Porsche of Annapolis - where we will cap the the day with a Tech Quiz, Buffet, and Awards Reception.  Ellen Beck and Bob Gutjahr have worked very hard to make this year's Challenge memorable.  This is one event you won't want to miss, so go to the CC39 page on the web site and register today.
