President's Message
February snows saw to it that the Slot Car night was a white-out. The only happy Porsche owners were those driving a Cayenne. Well the snow is finally melting and the rain is washing the salt from the roads. For those of us that are not Cayenne owners or using our Porsches as daily drivers, its time to think of bringing our Porsches out from their winter cocoons. Pray for warm weather.
Chesapeake had its first Cars N Coffee event of the year go off as scheduled. Allan Gunzelman, our Tour Chairman, didnt let salty roads and snowy parking lots deter him from arranging some food, coffee and car talk at Rafaels Restaurant in Westminster. The event was attended by a number of get me out of the house Porsche enthusiasts. Allen has scheduled the next Cars N Coffee event for March 20th at the Shallow Creek Bookstore Cafe in Edgemere. We hope for better weather and road conditions for this event.
Remember to mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 9th. This is the opening registration date for the Porsche Parade in St. Charles, Illinois at the Pheasant Run Resort, July 3rd July 9th, 2010. For those of you that are considering attending, all registrations entered online or postmarked before midnight Thursday March 11th will receive equal priority.
This month online registration opens for the Chesapeake Autocross 2010 season with our Autocross Driving School. Consider putting this in your schedule to learn what you and your Porsche can do with a little training.
