Hi Chesapeake Members
What a scorcher of a July for those of us with older Porsches without A/C. Remind me to make sure we schedule a Tech session next spring on A/C maintenance and upgrades.
The August Crab Feast registration will be extended until August 8th. You can register online at www.clubregistration.net or contact Nancy Malson at nmalson@comcast.net. Check the club website for additional details on this event.
Arrangements for the 41st Chesapeake Challenge are now in place. This year the Challenge will be held on October 16th at the Maryland Yacht Club in Pasadena, MD. The event will begin with a Concours with cars parked on the yacht club lawn overlooking Chesapeake Bay. A Rally will follow, ending with an evening dinner in the MYC club building. Details will be posted on our website in early August.
Our Tech Chairman, John Patterson has been overloaded at work and has been unable to arrange any events so far this year. Special thanks to Scott Borden who has kindly volunteered to fill in for John. Scott has arranged a Tech Session on September 18, 2010 at At Speed Motorsports in Hanover, MD from 9:00am to noon. The topics will be The Mysteries of Alignments Straightened Out and Exhaust systems...more bark than bite? Mark you calendars for this informative event.
The club survey will close on August 15th. If you haven't taken the opportunity to participate in the survey there is still time. Your input is very important to us for planning future events. Thank you to all who have already completed the survey.
I look forward to seeing you at one or all of the events this month.
